| John Philip Kemble, (1757-1823) |
Brother to Sarah Siddons and manager of the Drury Lane Theatre, Kemble was considered one of England's greatest actors. He was known for coming into conflict with playwright Richard Brinsley Sheridan and the actor Edmund Kean (who was basically to replace him as England's most popular actor). |
