Paul Scofield
Paul Scofield (1922-2008) played Lear in Peter Brooks' 1971 filmed production. Scofield is well known to audiences as an 1966 Best Actor Oscar winner for "A Man for All Seasons" and Ralph Fiennes' father in "Quiz Show."
