Reviewed on : 2001-09-30 14:15:55 | I never saw this performance starring Laurence Olivier (1907-1989) and Vivien Leigh (1913-1967) nor a taped version of it, yet it remains to me the most constant in my mind when I think of Macbeth. Why? Well, because the English Literature textbook we had in class at my high school used stills from Leigh and Olivier's production to illustrate the text.
