Initially completed in 1998, it was due to be released soon after only to run headlong into the Columbine High School shooting. Mekhi Pfifer (1975 -) plays the brilliant basketball player Odin. In love with the most popular girl on campus (Desi) he's brought down by the jealousy of his friend Hugo (Josh Hartnett). In this version, Hugo/Iago is ascribed the motive of familial jealousy (his father notes that he loves Odin like a son).
