"O, that this too too solid flesh would melt,
Thaw and resolve itself into a dew!
Or that the Everlasting had not fix'd
His canon 'gainst self-slaughter! O God! God!
How weary, stale, flat, and unprofitable
Seem to me all the uses of this world!" Act I, scene ii

According to Hedges, this pro-Milosevic production, portrayed Hamlet as a strong soldier who is destroyed by and destroys those around him because he challenges authority. Horatio becomes an evil character because of his counsel and Fortinbras is a figure warning that dissension leaves a country weak and ripe for invasion (Hedges, pages 78-79). After some research, I believe this production is the same as the one in which the actor Dejan Cicmilovic played Horacio. However, I am unable to find more information about this production, including a firm date.
